Obituary of Shirley Geraldine Rees

Peacefully after a lengthy illness, Shirley Rees of Ailsa Craig passed, on Saturday, May 7th, 2016 at the age of 75. Beloved wife and best friend of Tom Rees for 57 years. Loving mother of Stan (Cindy) Rees, Doug (Lisa) Rees, Joan (Jim) O’Neill, Janet (Craig) Sellars and Donna Rees (1964). Cherished grandmother of Stephen, Timothy, Krystal, Shanna, Kaitlyn, Daryn, Taylor and Tanya. Proud great grandma of her 3 great grandchildren. Remembered by her siblings, Blanche (Dave) Collins, Harvey (Evelyn) Rollings and Clarke (Grace) Rollings. Sister-in-law of Evelyn (Ron) Heaman and Earlene (Gerard) Bolduc. Predeceased by her parents Charles (Freda) Rollings, in-laws Earl (Martha) Rees, sister and brother-in-law Violet (Carman) Pickering. Shirley will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at DENNING’S OF AILSA CRAIG on Tuesday, May 10th, 2016 at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at DENNING’S on Wednesday, May 11th, 2016 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Nairn Cemetery.
