Obituary of Catherine Iris Malette

Malette, Catherine "Iris" Peacefully at home Catherine "Iris" (Broadley) Malette at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late André Malette (1996). Predeceased by her parents William & Ethel (Brindle) Broadley and son Daniel Malette (1966). Beloved mother of Cathie (Fred) Fursman and Colette Malette. Cherished Memere to Danielle (Joe) Lima and André Thomas. Beloved great Grandmother to Nicholas Lima. Iris will be missed by several nephews, nieces and cousins. Iris came to Canada in 1929 from Settle, England. She has always been proud of her family, her British roots, and for her service in the Royal Canadian Navy. Known for her spunk, quick wit and fun loving attitude, she has forever left her mark on all those she met throughout her lifetime. Many thanks to Dr. William Thorpe, St Elizabeth Healthcare and the VON for the exemplary care received and compassion shown. Thanks also to the many friends and family who have made their presence known, from near and from far. Iris was loved, and she knew it. Friends will be received at DENNING’S OF AILSA CRAIG on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 at 1 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2 p.m. Fr. Tony Laforet officiating.
