Ingrained in my memory is Aubrey walking to the barn in his rubber boots, sleeves rolled up, an extra bounce in his long strides, a man on a mission. Whether doing chores or working the fields, it was always with the same amount of enthusiasm.
He worked hard and enjoyed life's simple pleasures.

We were lucky enough to meet Aubrey at Siesta Bay in Fort Myers, FL. I had the pleasure of meeting him while playing tennis. Bryan met him in the hot tub during the daily social hour and they both discovered they had farming in common! They became great buddies & always discussed the current farm issues! Little did we know that each of us had met this amazing man, but we soon discovered it as we talked about our day over supper. We both enjoyed the times we spent with him and are both saddened by learning of his death. Please know that he was a very kind and gentle soul to all that had the pleasure of meeting him. We will think of him often and remember him fondly. Thoughts and prayers to all of the family.

We would like to join the group of friends of the Mc Callum family and express our heartfelt sympathy for your loss.
Aubrey had a great influence on everybody that met him; be it as a successful farmer or a municipal politician. Personally I sometimes felt a little intimidated by his intellect and presence.
But Rosie and Aubrey's humble and warm demeanour would override such feelings very quickly.
The Mc Callum family has lost it's Patriarch and he surely will be missed.
