Marylou and Family...Clare and Marylou have been neighbors for many years. Clare always said that he was the oldest Centralian..There was nothing he loved better than chatting with the neighbors...If he was walking and he spotted you the hands went up in greeting...Many a visit we had with ( my late husband Norm and I )...When the garage door was open Clare and Marylou and little Samantha often came for a visit or a sit to..He will be missed..Clare started a trend in town..so “Hands up for Clare “ my condolence..Kay Tripp

MaryLou and family:
My deepest sympathy to you all. Claire will be missed by many people who will remember a man that was interested in old cars, history and his work profession. Unfortunately the last few years were not too kind to him with his memory loss. May you continue to cherish the memories of him, as I will.

Dear Mary Lou and Family,
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Claire. You both always sat in front of us in Centralia United Church and we enjoyed speaking with you both. Claire quite often drove by our home on the Whalen Line...usually on his way to Woodstock to check out some cars or equipment....and he always blew his horn as he went by. He was such a character and will be well remembered by all who knew him!

Mary Lou and family;
Please accept our very deepest condolences Mary Lou. There is no doubt about it, Claire was quite a character, a one of a kind. He loved to chat with everyone and anyone. I have never known anyone who tried to find a connection with everyone he met. He would recall having met someone else from the area he was visiting, or knew a relative years ago of that person, or remembered something from 50 years ago that reminded him of that person and so on. There was always a connection. He knew every little town, village and corner stop between here and heaven knows where and he loved to travel around and sight see these places. He loved his old cars and working on them and getting them running to perfection. He was a proud member of his Lodge and took part faithfully in the meetings, the degrees, the visits to other Lodges, as well as continuing to go as high as he could in his Lodge affiliations. His church and the history of the church were important to him and he felt honoured to be a Session member of Centralia United Church. He will be missed not only by his family, but by many friends who will relate stories about things he told them for many years to come. You are in our thoughts and prayers Mary Lou and family. God Bless.
